Clinical Pathways is a custom technical solution that allows eviti®, a clinical decision support solution, access to clinical workflows in the Allscripts Sunrise electronic health record (EHR). Clinical Pathways allows for greater transparency around therapeutic selection and care delivery by improving both care quality and reducing variability. It can hasten approval from insurance providers by immediately gathering and packaging the necessary clinical data to support selected treatment strategies. It began in early 2016 as a way to help patients and providers alike benefit from the abilities of an integrated solution.

The Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Western Regional Medical center, located in metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona, is now equipped with the Clinical Pathways system. The center’s multidisciplinary team works exclusively with cancer patients at every stage of the illness, every day. Specializing in breast cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, gynecological cancer, and many other cancer types, Western is one of CTCA’s five hospitals.

The Cancer Treatment Centers of America is a national, for-profit network of hospitals headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida. Founded by Richard J. Stephenson after the death of his mother from cancer, it grew out of his frustration with the lack of treatment options. This network of five hospitals with its multidisciplinary team of cancer experts treat every stage of the disease. Their state-of-the-art facilities house some of the most sophisticated tools and technologies that treat cancer with surgery, chemotherapy, and other tools. Their integrative methods include conventional anti-cancer treatments plus supportive therapies that help combat side-effects experienced during treatment. Along with chemotherapy, hormone therapy, radiation, and other conventional methods, therapies, including acupuncture, chiropractic care, mind-body medicine, and pain management, are also used. CTCA’s comprehensive care regimen combats everything from depression and digestive issues to radiation burns and immobility. All resources are under one roof.
